In Fighting games players want to see improvements upon existing characters in perhaps move sets, combos, and aesthetic changes. In addition, it’s always good practice to add new characters, but if the game is similar to previous game and modification includes sound effects and maps, it shouldn’t be called sequel but should be called repackaging.

When there are no distinct design patterns and gameplay in sequels of most anticipated fighting games, it disappoints players as they want characters to have new move sets, combos so that they can enjoy the gameplay.
